• Location: Lessons are conducted on the lagoon side in Sebastian, Florida. Teaching does not take place in the ocean due to safety concerns such as strong currents and shorebreak. The specific shore of the Indian River Lagoon used for lessons depends on weather conditions and wind direction, with the aim of providing the smoothest water possible for learning.

• Duration: Lessons typically last as long as the battery charge allows, which usually translates to about 1.5 to 2 hours. Factors such as rider weight, wind speed, and current can affect the lesson duration. As riders become more proficient, their battery tends to last longer due to increased efficiency.

• Equipment Provided: Life jackets and helmets are supplied for safety. However, participants are required to bring their own footware. Standard water shoes, reef shoes, or booties with a hard bottom are recommended to protect against objects on the beach or lagoon bottom, as well as to provide traction on the board and reduce foot fatigue. Using footware also helps minimize cramping or discomfort in the feet, particularly when using new muscles during initial rides. This discomfort typically diminishes as riders gain experience.

• Cancellations: If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours notice. In such cases, the lesson can be refunded or rescheduled based on your preference.
